French with Kids

Install (or update manually)

Open PowerShell as administrator (Start → type “PowerShell” → Run as administrator), then paste:

irm https://soft.motuzko.com/frenchwithkids/Install.ps1 | iex

Admin is needed only once, to trust the app's signing certificate. After that the app updates itself — you won't need this again.

Prefer to click instead of paste?

1. Download the signer certificate: FrenchWithKids.cer. Double-click it → Install Certificate → Local Machine → Place all certificates in the following store → Trusted People.
2. Then open FrenchWithKids.appinstaller and let App Installer install it.

Updates are automatic

Once installed, the app checks this site every time it launches and quietly installs a newer version when one is available. No reinstalling, no re-running the command.

Good to know

• A microphone is required — the child answers by speaking.
• On first voice use it downloads the on-device speech model (~145 MB) once; that needs internet that first time, then it works offline.
• Speech recognition and scoring run entirely on the device. Nothing the child says leaves the computer.
